» Benz c-class vs bmw 3 series?
Taste is very subjective; don't know what model year for each you are talking about, personally, I test drove both...many times...checked them both for details and quality and ended up buying the MB. It is a blast.tough one, i would say it depends on the driverhmmm. tough one. basically, iv seen th C-class alwayz behind th BMW in comparos. but i wud chooz th Merc aniway.if you're asking who'd win i'd say the beamWell, i personally think the C class is 100 times better than the bmw. The bmw is so plain it looks exactly the same as the rest just smaller and the interior is blah. Im referring to the newer ones. But i got a 96 C280 and i beat the hell out of it and have not had any problems except a oxygen sensor. Ive had i...... - 2009-07-04
» What can i have for my dinner today?
I always find it a big headache thinking of meals to make. I am on a low budget so some less expensive suggestions appreciated. I like alsorts of things and just can't make a meal. Thanks, 10 points for the best answer which tickles my tastebuds Dining on a budget can be a challenge! Here are some ideas: 1. Baked potato topped with your favorite canned chili, grated cheese, and chopped onion. 2. Seasoned ground beef in a cheesy cream sauce over pasta, with sliced tomatos and cucumbers. 3. Chicken thighs, cooked in a nonstick pan, with Stovetop dressing, gravey and green beans. 4. Spaghetti with premade marinara sauce, green salad 5. if you've been to gerland, you've heard the VN do this many times. but after nantes, it was in the dressing room they were chanting it! he's player of the week, and richly deserved. http://www.channel4.com/sport/french_football/playerweek09.html i read an english language report which said domenech would be very courageous (even a bit crazy) not to keep starting coupet even when barthez comes back. anyone else see that. any chance of getting the link?he's definately been spectacular for Lyon and the only reason they are undefeated in L1 so far. I agree that he's the man to replace Barthez and since he's played well for Les Bleus I see no reason to start Barthez instead.Agreed. » Canon's "Live View" feature..thumbs up!
All I have to say is... :hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail: I initially thought it might just be a nice-to-have. Turns out, with night photography, it's been a MUST for me. Being able to lift the mirror, see the image on the LCD, and THEN zoom way way in so I can manual focus to perfection.... is priceless. I've gotten some exceptional night shots on my main lens (Tamron). I'm sure if I had expensive L glass, I could get tack sharp night photos. If anyone is on the market for a DSLR and is wondering about Live View.. now you have one person's opinion. ;) I'm also curious, anyone else have any great uses for Live View besides night photography?use a lot of battery?use a lot of battery? Not in my experience, no. Then ag...... - 2009-07-04

Here's another song I wrote, Hoping for some advice. I'm not sure of the tune yet, but I need some suggestions on the lyrics. What do you think? VERSE 1: I wish Iâ ™d known the way you treat me Iâ ™d never have gotten involved In the tangled web of lies youâ ™ve spun In a mess that wonâ ™t resolve BRIDGE: This whole time I thought I could count on you Thought I could trust you I guess I canâ ™t CHORUS: Did you lie? When you said I love you Did you lie? When you told me I was beautiful Was I just a piece in a game youâ ™re playing Do you expect me to believe a word youâ ™re saying When all this time youâ ™ve been telling me things I want to hear. » Netherlands vs Italy - Monday 9th June [r]
What a match to look forward to! I think the Italians are favorites in this game. They have a well rounded squad and are not really lacking in any department and showed so in the qualifiers. Tough team to beat. The Dutch have lots of firepower in midfield & attack, but the defense is not up to par. Will they be able to outscore their opponents at the Euro2008? Netherlands qualifying round : G W D L F A Pts 12 8 2 2 15 5 26 Italy's qualifying round : G W D L F A Pts 12 9 2 1 22 9 29 We al know qualifying is what it is, qualifying, but we have some interesting data here. » Motorcycle Choke and White Smoke?
I am new to bikes. Got a 96 Katana 750 with only 7500. Long story short. Warmed up my bike for 30 min. with min choke before reading that choke should only be used for a few min. Bike will not stay on without choke. Letting cool and will try again. Taking to shop tomorrow. Any way... If bike will not stay on with choke, should I leave off and try again later or what?Normally if the choke is left on, it will foul the spark plugs. Once the spark plugs are fouled, the motor will typically run very poorly. With fouled plugs, the bike will typically idle roughly, possibly not start, have poor performance and stall regularly. I would replace the plugs, although you might be able to get away with cleaning them. You'll probably ...... - 2009-07-04
» Why do some Christians (and Muslims) claim that atheists 'don't believe' in order to 'sin freely'
In nearly every question about 'why atheists don't believe' the atheist cites 'lack of evidence'. My question is, isn't it dishonest to call all these atheists liars?YOu can call me whatever you want, as long as you call me for dinner. I don't really care what some intellectually dishonest person thinks of me, I only become concerned when someone trys to legislate this lapse of intellect into law. They make that claim because they cannot argue on merit or evidence or logic. Therefore, they turn to accusations of immorality in order to change the nature of the debate. What they do is the equivalent of throwing a chair. Atheists accuse believers of stupidity. Believers accuse atheists of wickedness....... - 2009-07-04

What do you think of this set??? Im looking to buy a lighting kit in the next day or so. http://www.pclightingsystems.com/DFEZ/EZ-LITE%201050.htm Thanks...:)Do you have any idea about different lighting set ups? Like continuous and flash? Or monolight, generator, or battery-powered? Here's a link to a guide on lighting: http://photo.net/learn/studiolighting/ You might find it helpful. This is a constant lighting setup, and not a strobe/flash setup. I personally use a strobe/flash setup, but I've heard that some people use constant light, I don't think it's as widely used though. Also, you cannot control the power of the lights in this kit, which is not a good thing for photography. You NEED to be able to control the power of your ...... - 2009-07-04

He's never played in Europe but he's a big enough name that all Europeans know and he will get the fans excited I think. But it still seems to be throwing it to the right. Is there anyway to calibrate my printer to photoshop? HELP!! Please!!! Thanks in advance.Ok, relax. » How come Catholics worship the virgin Mary when she isn't god?
Catholics worship Mary and i don't understand why. I know that she is Jesus' mother, but as far as the bible says (which is what i believe) that is it. She is not god and worshiping her is like worshiping a false idol.Catholics don't worship Mary, we venerate her. Mary is our most powerful intercessor. Do not people ask their living friends and relatives to pray for them? How much more powerful, then, is the intercession of God's own Mother, who loved Him perfectly during her life on earth, and to whom He remains obedient in heaven. Does not Jesus love His mother? Does He not keep His own commandments (Honor thy father and thy mother)? Mary can pray to God more effectively than you or I ever could. The Holy Rosary is...... - 2009-07-04
» What's the earliest known reference to the playing of baseball?
The first recorded mention of anyone playing baseball is by an English diarist called William Bray. He wrote this entry in his diary in 1755 - "After dinner, went to Miss Jeale's to play at Base Ball with her the three Miss Whiteheads, Miss Billinghurst, Miss Molly Flutter, Mr. Chandler, Mr. Ford and H. Parsons. Drank tea and stayed 'til eight." The original diary can be seen at The Surrey History Centre. A better known early reference to the game of baseball is by Jane Austen in her book Northanger Abbey which was written in 1798. In chapter one she describes her heroine, Catherine Morland as preferring "cricket, baseball, riding on horseback and running about the country to books" According to many sources, in 1700,...... - 2009-07-04

» How do I get back in with the smart kids?
I'm a girl in 7th grade, during 5th grade and half of 6th I was best friends with the smartest girl in class. Something happened in 6th grade, the preps pulled her in and she ditched me. But we were all so immature and of course we wanted to be seen as cool by the preppy kids. She obviously matured over summer and now doesn't talk to those kids at all. I grew up too, A LOT, we are both very mature but ever since we stopped being friends we rarely talk maybe a hey here or there in the hallway or a quick conversation at our lockers because they are right next to each other. Right now I'm seen as a bad girl because the bad, loud, rude, immature, and trashy girls are always around me but they are just so trashy I'm so to say but ...... - 2009-07-04

To sue WalMart is ludicrous...why should they need extra security just for a sale? Is it too much to ask that shoppers act like civilized people?! I hope they can find all those involved and put their faces on the tv and web and let society be their judge! It is absolutely horrid that someone died so that other people ...... - 2009-07-04
» Isn't it amazing how fast life moves?
december already, almost christmas. 2008 geez. sometimes you don't notice it but time sure does flyLife is like a roll of toilet paper- the closer you get to the end the faster it goes. Cheers :)Time dilation is the phenomenon whereby an observer finds that another's clock, which is physically identical to their own, is ticking at a slower rate as measured by their own clock. This is often interpreted as time "slowing down" for the other clock, but that is only true in the context of the observer's frame of reference. Locally (i.e., from the perspective of any observer within the same frame of reference, without reference to another frame of reference), time always passes at the same rate. The time dilation phenomenon applies...... - 2009-07-04

» Loupe?
Hi, I'm into black and white film, 35mm and 4x5 soon, and I'd like to find a decent loupe within a student's budget. I've found extreme chormatic abberation from the plastic magnifier I've been using, and I do not like it one bit.i can't find the one i have, but it was plastic and was a maxiloupe 2 i think. sounds about right. It's ok. It's cheap, and you can tell, but it works.Have you tried a jewelers loupe?Have you tried a jewelers loupe? Nope, that's why I'm asking, to find a specific loupe that other photographers (film) use and like at a resonable price, to view contact sheets. For some reason, I can't find the loupe online that I'm thinking of. I just discovered a weird problem in Internet Explorer 6.0 with my Zoom results. When I click through multiple pages of results, I can't use IE's Back button to return to the previous page of results that I viewed. (The button is grayed out.) The only way I get back to the previous page of results is to click the number of the previous page in the results list. The search page is relatively straightforward; it's displayed in a secondary browser window, and the results, when clicked, open in the main browser window. I can't see why this setup would affect the browser's Back button, though. One more thing: the Back button appears fine in Firefox. Any ideas out there? Thanks for your help! There is normally no problem with the back bu...... - 2009-07-04

any kind of new tool like the new laser saw by sears meorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrowwwwwwwwwwTools are great, and likely an inherently female thing to use. Reasons many social scientists believe this: i) women did many of the tasks (e.g. treating skins) that required tools - likely they invented tools to help them with these tasks (men are thought to have invented weapons). On a related, note, as gatherers, the women also likely invented agriculture, and its related, early, tools (being the ones to find the fruits puts you in a position to notice that fruit that falls on the ground produces new plants...). ii) in situ 'graves' usually show the women with the tools (e.g. where people died and were left in place, not interred in a s...... - 2009-07-04

A couple of the phrases are "a credit to your birth" and "grow to be a man." Thank you.Hello again, Doesn't look like your question was answered after all. I'll repeat my comment here for your consideration. If it is the poem you were looking for, then I'll place it in the answer section. » Any nurses or proffesionals on here answer please?
can some one explain what it could mean by an abnormal full blood count? thanks in advance. xBasically a full blood count measures the number of red cells, white cells and platelets in your blood. A FBC is ordered to check a patients general health and/or it can be an indication for certain conditions, such as anaemia, nutrition or infections. Have an abnormal reading, simply means one of more of your cell counts it outside of normal range. This can be indicative of an underlying medical problem. It's impossible to say without seeing your results and without seeing which count was out of normal range, anaemia can be highlighted in a blood test.A full blood count, or complete blood count, consists of a variety of levels, such as...... - 2009-07-04

» Interpreting Blocks
If you were going to eliminate one column from the MLS stats list, it would probably be blocks. Sure, they're sometimes memorable plays, but most often, the guy who gets the block is simply the player who was stationed on the goal line ... not too interesting. Nonetheless, it always seems possible to go a little deeper ... for instance, MLS 2004 has shown a sharp division between teams that draw fouls and teams that don't ... -- 5 teams have drawn between 342 and 359 fouls. On average, they've had 6.2 shots blocked. -- 5 teams have drawn between 258 and 289 fouls. On average, they've had only 2.6 shots blocked. It seems like the ability to draw free kicks goes hand-in-hand with the ability to force blocks ... presumably, a lot of th...... - 2009-07-04

» Is this IQ grade good?
Hi. I made a rather serious IQ test (but not official) and, according to my age (which is 14), I got 112 points. Question 1: What is this score considered? Poor, Bad, Average, Good or Great? Question 2: What is the maximum of points of an IQ test? http://www.iqtest-center.com/iq-scores.p... The first graph should answer your questions. :]Actually a non official IQ test cannot be quantified as we don't know the norms that it used. In a typical standardized IQ test, the score you get is slightly above average. However, we cannot use Terman's IQ scale as yours is not official. As to the maximum IQ points, it all depends upon the kind of test. Some makes their test very long and some are really short, so there is ...... - 2009-07-04

I took a class ages ago and am just getting back into SLR photography.....so the problem could definately be me as well ;) I only have 30 days to decide, and was going to get the D40X to start, but the guy in the store said I wouldn't notice the difference! He just pulling my chain or is he right? From what I could gather the difference is the megapixels and the ISO. Hey, this should be my last new thread about a flash, if all goes well. A photo-friend of mine is selling his SB-800's, in favor of new ones, because his father says they were wobbly on his D200s. He says the new ones are the same, but a little tighter, so he is going to sell the old ones. He is willing to give me one for 200 dollars... Part of me is saying to JUMP at this, but should I be weary? 1. Its a year old, is this still in the lifetime of the flash? 2.
» Opinions on this lighting set!!!!

This thread is set aside for firsthand chaser reports of the Nebraska/Iowa/Missouri/Kansas action, their photos, and responses. Secondhand reports must go into the NOW: thread. Thanks. Can't talk long - things still going on - but we caught a tornado today near Maryville, Missouri - the same storm that prompted a tornado emergency later near Bethany - very cool torn - but super HP storm - very hard to see until we got right up into the slot - believe that I got to call in the first report of a wall cloud on this storm west of Falls City, NE ... the storm moved quickly to the river - which sucked - we had to go way out of the way. Took 45 minutes to catch back up to the tornado - fortunately Kiesling got it as it was going over the river b...... - 2009-07-04

I think I read that reports out of Argentina are saying that Carlos Tevez will sign. He's never played in Europe but he's a big enough name that all Europeans know and he will get the fans excited I think. Hey Everyone, I really really need help here. I'm trying to print something that HAS to be JUST SO. My paper is 5x5. I make a new document in photoshop, also 5x5. Type the text, centre it all nice and neat. Print it.. setting margins to zero and it prints way off. I made 'margins' with my guide lines at .25 inch to try and accomedate the 'unprintable' area. But it still seems to be throwing it to the right. Is there anyway to calibrate my printer to photoshop? HELP!! Please!!! Thanks in advance.Ok, relax. Did you tell the printer to center the image on your sheet? To me it appears to be a settings problem, not a printer one.

Today, there are around 500 Barista and Café Coffee Day outlets across the country. And the loser in the hot beverages segment has been good old tea. In 2003, consumption of coffee was about 20 per cent less than that of tea. Since then, however, there has been a gradual decline in tea consumption. Last year, it went down by 5 million kg from 239.31 million kg the year before. Now the tea industry is fighting back. It has opened two flanks against coffee. december already, almost christmas. 2008 geez. sometimes you don't notice it but time sure does flyLife is like a roll of toilet paper- the closer you get to the end the faster it goes.
» Is Suzuki a reliable vehicle?
the new models should be and look like very good cars. especially the swift. but do your research there are many better car brands out there for the money, this is not just in looks but also what you get, and the amount of power and efficiency. that is not to say you shouldn't buy one, if you like one and have the money go for it, but the quality will depend on the model, do your research if you are buying one, if you had mentioned a model of suzuki or a type of car, eg hatch i could have given you way more info but......for the new models, reliable yes, but technologically ahead or competitive, i would have to say no. the first generation honda jazz/swift could get up between 12-17 km/L in city driving, depending on transmission (M...... - 2009-07-04

» How many women besides me lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve tools? ?
any kind of new tool like the new laser saw by sears meorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrowwwwwwwwwwTools are great, and likely an inherently female thing to use.
» Sasha and Digweed live in DC
April 5th, at Club Ibiza in Washington DC! I've already got my ticket, and I'm going to see with eight or nine other heads. This is gonna be awesome. Bring glowsticks. http://www.wantickets.com/EventDetail.aspx?e_id=38013 If anyone wants to meet me there, PM me for my phone number.Bump. Y'all should come out to this show. It's going to be incredible. How was the experience. Do share the experience with us!!It sucked, none of you missed anything. Here's why: 1) The bouncers (all 50000 of them) were d!cks. 2) You had to give up your cigarettes at the door and couldn't smoke inside. 3) They had couches but you couldn't sit anywhere unless you'd reserved a table. 4) The crowd was hardly what I expected - I expected a rave crowd, but it was m...... - 2009-07-04
» a poem entitled "Son" by James Hough
I am looking for a poem by James Hough (perhaps the spelling might be Hugh?) entitled "Son." I'm not sure when it was written, but it was known by a friend of mine in the 50's or 60's, and I am trying to find it for him. Can you help me find it? A couple of the phrases are "a credit to your birth" and "grow to be a man." Thank you.Hello again, Doesn't look like your question was answered after all. I'll repeat my comment here for your consideration. If it is the poem you were looking for, then I'll place it in the answer section. However, if it is not, one of our great researchers will find it for you soon. The problem I see is that this Hughes poem does not contain the phrases that you mentioned, so it ...... - 2009-07-04
» Materazzi: Door open for Zidane apology
LOL! Materazzi, meanwhile, says he has nothing to apologize about. His trash talk was just that - trash talk. http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/5958064This has gone too far, Zidane should apologize for what he did AND THEN in return materazzi should apologize. Zidane has to do it first though cuz he ruined the final. If he was angry he could have expressed it differently, i dont know like a push, hard foul, something...he didnt have to ram his head into his chest like a bull.Who cares!? Zidane is retired, why doesn't everyone just forget about it and go on with their lives...the media just likes to rehash this crap, it's over for gods sake.Yeah, they should meet so that Zizou has another chance to aim at his face ! Seriously...Th...... - 2009-07-04
» Cup Round 1
Discuss matchups and such here. My first round opponent is the Baby Hueys. Guy got his team a month ago and logged on once about a week later. No transfers, nothing. Might as well be a bot team...Bot team. about 14 stars total. whoop dee doo.Bot team here too...Let the bot stomp begin, which is why I'll keep my passing training for another week, so that I can try to get a pop before the real season starts. If I can win a friendly with IM's playing wing to get training, I can beat a bot the same way. :)I play a team who got kicked out of Division 5 and just got a new owner 2 weeks ago. Since he took over the team has lost it's only 2 games by scores of 8-0 and 6-0. :DI got a Bot team as well. The only thing I'm not happy about is tha......

» Which Nixon to buy????
I just bought a Nikon D40, only have the 18-55mm lens it came with. I'm not so happy with the "point and click" images I get. So my question is should I get the D40X, or just a better lens for my D40? I took a class ages ago and am just getting back into SLR photography.....so the problem could definately be me as well ;) I only have 30 days to decide, and was going to get the D40X to start, but the guy in the store said I wouldn't notice the difference! He just pulling my chain or is he right? From what I could gather the difference is the megapixels and the ISO. Any advise would be much appreciated; I'm thick skinned so if it's me I won't be crushed ;) Thank, B.Richard. Hands down. History will judge him well. ...... - 2009-07-04
» Help! I have some difficulty in solving some problems in our activity in physics. Plz help me...?
I don't know what formula will I use and how to solve some of it. The activity is particularly about motion(the speed, acceleration and velocity) Here are some of the problems: * An auto travels at rate of 25 km/h for 4 mins, then at 50 km/h for 8 mins, and finally 20 km/h for 2 mins. Find a.the total distance covered in km and m. b.the average speed for the complete trip. * A runner travels 1.5 laps around a circular track in a time of 50 s. The diameter of the track is 40 m and its circumference is 126m. Find a.the average speed of the runner and b.the magnitude of the runner's velocity.. * A car is accelerating uniformly as it passes two check points that are 30 m apart. » I went to the shooting range today. After going I lost most of my hearing in my left ear. whats wrong?
I went to the hospital and the doctor told me i wasnt bleeding and that i must have blew some earwax and plugged my ear from my loud rifle. they didn't clean out my ears, but simply told me to clean ou my ears. Ok i am sitting here trying to clean out this wax and i think it's too deep. Anybody have any suggestions? Why didn't the hospital solve this problem? B/c they charged me 500 bucks or more. The only thing I can think of is that they thought they would damage my eardrum and i might sue.Yep, you need to wear ear protection! As for cleaning your ears of wax, don't stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear (in other words, don't ever put anything into your ear canal, because you could push something a...... - 2009-07-04
» Okay yes this is a Twilight Question, Why were some of the characters in the movie Black, when in the book ...?
some characters in the movie were black like Laurent when in the book when Bella describes him he was clearly White, the character, I think it was Eric ( I think it was Eric, I'm sure I'll get corrected, but it was one of the guys from school) was also black , when he was described as white, I'm not racist , I'm just wondering why the media feels the need to do this so much, be "politically correct" , why not make Edward a black guy as well, as long as we are changing the appearance of characters to make sure nobody whines about the movie being all white. BTW I didn't mean to offend people, this just irritates me , it's taken to far, you know, Also I'm not even White if that's what your thi...... - 2009-07-04

» Nikon SB-800 Speedlight Questions
Hey, this should be my last new thread about a flash, if all goes well. A photo-friend of mine is selling his SB-800's, in favor of new ones, because his father says they were wobbly on his D200s. He says the new ones are the same, but a little tighter, so he is going to sell the old ones. He is willing to give me one for 200 dollars... Part of me is saying to JUMP at this, but should I be weary? 1. Its a year old, is this still in the lifetime of the flash? 2. Should I worry of the "wobbly"?RM, unless he's been using it as a strobe in a disco lounge JUMP!! And even if, the replacement bulbs can be had for not too much. The 800 will allow you to be very creative with multiple flashes as well (look it up, I've heard and scanned...... - 2009-07-04

» Blood pressures great.. but REALLY Low pulse rate?
Okay, well my workplace did the Red Cross Blood Donating thing yesterday. I volunteered to donate my blood. Well as the nurse lady was checking my blood pressure and other stuff, I came to find out I'm not eligible to give blood. WHY? because I had a really, really low pulse rate. I can't remember but it was either 23 or 32, still low. She said shes never seen it that low and we did it twice. She also said my blood pressure was great but couldn't tell why I wasn't dead lol. And no I haven't exercised for about a month now. I am also male, 20 yrs old. This started to make me think back about 2 months ago where I started to get dizzy and light-headed a lot during the hot days. I had to go to the doctor. He set m...... - 2009-07-04
